Today, I thought I would have a look at my timing as the engine was running a little rough on tick over and had to blip the throttle when at lights. Anyway with the newly purchased strobe timer or whatever we call it ,,, it was about 10mm further round than the markers, (view from front of car) and when I altered the distributor to bring it in line with the markers. It just got worse, so turned it the other way so now 15mm left of the markets, made the engine tick over much better and sounded sweet even drove with about 1/3 more power. The problem is why are these markers and the strobe showing that the timing is well off. I’ve posted on a couple of other forms to see if I can get any insight. If you’re reading this, please let me know your thoughts. Thanks
