Carburettors Ckean And Heatsheild

as part of the carburettor clean out, I’m also purchasing a heat shield as the one on the car seems to have deteriorated in the centre when the manifold comes down.. found an awesome seller on eBay who does a stainless steel heat shield that fits with some notifications he’s made to allow more airflow behind it, where the manifold sits looking forward to it turning up, and I’ll post pictures when fitted @ebay seller buyright777 A++
Back On The Road After The Winter

This morning i thiought i would get the old girl out for a quick drive about the town, she started 2nd time in the key after sitting for 5 months! Really happy with this, good engine and electrical system. As i pulled out on to my drive i could smell petrol so popped the bonnet to find gas leaking from the over flow pipe on the1st Carbaretta ! Back in for a carb stip down as ive seen on the forum that debris can clog in of the fuel cut off jets. After taking off both carbs i found the fuel...
Front Brakes

So not posted for a while as been super busy at work. Front brakes making a smell of burning on my last drive out and today I got the callipers off and they look ceased plus the pads melted or look to be that way… posted on Facebook to get some advise if u should repair or change them. Very messy job this one but love it!
Front End Bushes And Bearings

Well today was a day of learning for me on the MG. I ordered in a poly bush front end set and 2x wheel bearings from MG-Hive, got them fitted today by Paul at PB motors in Hawkinge, awesome guy and his wife was great company whilst the work was going done, really nice couple! So Paul is what I call a real engineer who knows his way stones and old cars, as I asked if I could watch and learn he happily talked me through some of the engineering replacing the bushes and also gave me a quick tour...
