I like your solution for rounding the edges.I was just going to make mine flat without the roll over. After seeing this,I may do the same.Great work.

The trick is mainly in the template. If you roll it over on a very small avil in the right shape elongated oval. It will take on the form you desire. I still made this anvil welded to a piece of flat steel. And put in the vice just to planish it. The rest I do with an abrasive disk. This can be done because the metal actually got thicker where it's rolled it over.Henny

This is how I did it:I made the anvil as in the picture. Then rolled the cardboard over it and cut it out or you can trace it and then cut it the template has to go on without a crease.since the backend of the radiator has straight sides this part of the template wil be straight. Trace it on the steel and ad wings to the back end of the template with a ruler. Now cut out the steel with a nibler. Expensive tool I could borough. Bore holes in the wings, and hammer them over over a steel table edge. Make these lines very exact. Oh yeah forgot to tell you that you have to Sand down the bottom piece off ply. So that when you put a ruler perpendicular to the plate and the top round bar.the ruler toughes the bottom of the ply and the steel. Fasten the wings to the back off the anvil. Make sure it touches everywhere. If you have left some space for the roll you can start hammering. I started at the top and worked down. At the bottom it didn't quite make it to the shape of the anvil so I finished it of on the prementi

Prementioned tiny anvil or swage. So now by happy accident. My radiator is not so narrow as the anvil, but it swoops ever so slightly forwards at the bottom nice.Henny
