For a novice like me, it should be a good learning tool before I remove my sunbaked dash and windshield frame. I will have to inquire about how I might test most things on this dash before installing.

While sitting in it late lastnite I was seeing if the dashlite dimmer functioned...which it did, only on the little dot on the heater control and one hanging under the dash cause all the others are burned out, I think. My steering wheel had this big rubbery bulky stretched cover over it assuming it was hiding a pulverized leather wheel underneath. After removing, I could not believe my eyes, it appeared that he put this on when he first bought the car! I don't think they made those things back then but, It's black, front and back, it's shiny, perfect patina, it's stiched perfectly!
Maybe I'll find gold coins under that nasty old rubber when I tear the seats out!!
