Another Great Discovery!

Posted on: Wednesday July 10, 2013

Beings my steering gaitors are in shreds, I have only driven this car around the block a few times since bringing it home June 27, 2013. While sitting in it late lastnite I was seeing if the dashlite dimmer functioned...which it did, only on the little dot on the heater control and one hanging under the dash cause all the others are burned out, I think. My steering wheel had this big rubbery bulky stretched cover over it assuming it was hiding a pulverized leather wheel underneath. After...

Not Sure If I Can Do This......

Posted on: Sunday July 7, 2013

I'm not a fan of the luggage rack, but I guess I'm stuck with it. Found some great HIF4'S on Ebay. I bought the complete rebuild kit for them way back and not sure if my poor vision can tackle the job. Got the Navy seat covers from the UK. Need the foams, but unsure if I should get the old version or new, beings the covers are basket weave GT style. Besides putting carpet/seats/foams, Duramat, Headlamp relay, this will be factory original and plan on getting a Heritage certificate.

Good Read

The new Moss catalog really impacted me on the, "re*stored*" article by, Jay Meilstrup. After a year of recovering from an eye condition, I'm so glad I didn't go buy all the candy available for these cars. Now I've mellowed, and do recall how seriously fun it was to drive a stock MGB 4 speed with the throaty sound of those dual SU's and stock exhaust. I cannot dream of anything different. I am so fortunate to discover this amazing California car from the original owner!

Simple Rostyle Restoration

Posted on: Sunday July 7, 2013

Today I removed the never restored rostyle wheels/tires off my 73 B. I bought a non running 74B months ago that had brand new tires, so I installed the new tires/wheels on the 73 to see how they feel. Great!
