New Window Blades And Doorsill Plates

Posted on: Monday February 15, 2021

door sill

Last weekend I replaced the door window blades on my MGB and also installed some door sill plates I acquired form a great guy in Queensland who had also sold me my new soft top frames Thanks Graeme Here is my dash that was rusty and without the crinkle paint until I had an idea! I used my rubberised black paint that I coated on the under carriage and after two coats the final coat I dabbed with the brush when partly dry. Considering the dash is a long winter type job it has hidden the old...

Bluey Gets Muffled

CLS 250 SB1

Just had my new muffler added, new headlight seals and new windscreen ordered. A few other bits and pieces and ready for the Holidays. She is finally starting to glow after many many polish and waxes that I cant count . Still not 100% happy but it is improving. The paint seems to oxidise still very quickly and when touched leaves "deep" marks! As in they must be rubbed quite vigourously so its like it porous Any ideas welcome

My temporary "fix" for the crackle paint on the dash looks OK, and will do until I pull it out and do it properly. Her Boot rubber is on and sealing nicely, her new muffler is awaiting installation. Her new windscreen is ordered and her new rubbers for lights etc. The wheels have been cleaned phase 1 and look pretty good. The engine...

After My Teens And Early Adult Hood

The inspection and transport of Bluey to her new

Following on from my Teen years I became interested in Saabs and again had a collection over the next 10-15 years. I started with a 900EMS that was basically an Aero delivered vehicle. What a car. Over the next years I purchased a total of 15 Saabs often owning two at once where I drove the new one each year and my wife drove the 1 year old car and I cycled them over. Saab Australia wrote an article on me as the most prolific Saab owner and over that time I clocked up some million odd miles and...
