Purchased as parts car in 2001. Previous owner had planned to insert a 20 valve Toyota but gave up due to engineering complications! Intent was assemble the good bits and return to original engine configuration in 2005 for club motorsport but scope of the project was 'enhanced'. Feb 08 body removed from rotisserie after new floor pans and sills and extensive welding, fabrication and lightening. 1275 full race engine built with roller rockers, alloy backing plate, 45 Webber, close ratio gearbox and assorted diffs. Car completed Jan 2013. Great performance and good fun to drive. Regular at Wakefield Park Golden Era of Auro Racing (GEAR) events.
