Hi Guys,hope you are all well.Things have gotten a little crazy in my life which doesn't let me have much free time.Im going to Sandusky Ohio soon to see my folks which ate up all my vacation time,sad to say I wont be there this year either.Im still trying to find time to fix more steering issues I had.I want to came back so bad,hope to get there in 2020 if your still running races.Say Hi to all for me

Its just a few days till we leave for our second Tieton race,ive installed a near gear and steering rack.Here are a few more pics from last years build

Chitty still has some issues but this winter I will sort them out,I did OK last year but the bearings gave me fits this year after I changed it to rack steering

I saw some races with the Chitty Bang Bang car. I assume it was yours. A real work of art. Waht were the bearing problems?

I had forgot to install the bearing spacer,it let the bearing push into the wheel.Dumb ass move on my part,was trying to hurry my build last year,I was sooo tired after 72 hrs of non stop work and it showed.It was in pieces on the weds before Tieton last year when I painted it and had forgotten I had made the spacers at work,so when I put it together I was in a rush!!!I have other issues also such as belt slippage due to the weight of me and the kart,it was fast last year but changed the gear to a 72,then installed new belt.Didnt get what I was after,so its back to the barn to work it out

I have now installed a 72 tooth gear with #42 chain.Had to do some mods to the back plate to deal with the clearance.Also installed a steering rack,what a difference that made!!!
