“The Money Pit”
In my youth, I had two MGAs, an MGB-GT, and "God Forbid" a Fiat 850 Spyder.
Several years ago, hoping to regain that experience, I bought an MGA on e-Bay. When it arrived, it was in 1000+ pieces; someone had even sawed the body in half at the door sills. I ended up selling it as a parts car and my wife hasn't let me forget it.
Her comment about the future money pit has been, "At least it's not in pieces,"
I'm looking forward to rejoining the British Sports Car crowd.
For now, I just want to get it running, then I'll do restoration as I can.
