Paul Belluomini's 1977 MG MGB MkIV
|
Bought from a MG owner in Chicago. Car was brought up from Arizona 23 years ago. Fantastic original body, no rust!
Full body respray in Mineral Blue, Rubber bumper delete. New or restored body hardware and seals. Extra sound insulation installed on floors and bulkheads.
Restomod 99% complete:
Has a fully rebuilt 1840cc motor with a ported and polished crossflow head, dual weber 45 dcoes, APT VP11 camshaft, aluminum flywheel, Jeffs distributor, balanced and lightened internals. New Ansa exhaust system that I've been hoarding.
Frontline 5 speed gearbox conversion kit, Frontline 5 link rear suspension kit, Hawk coil over double wishbone front suspension kit.
All new leather interior panel and carpet from Prestige U.K. including a custom leather tunnel cover from Prestige. New moss black leather seats. New complete1973 wiring harness with rebuilt tach and speedo from a 66 MGB. Fuel, temperature and oil pressure gauges from a 74 MGB. Voltmeter is new- I did not want a clock.
Motolita steering wheel mounted on a 1975 steering column- I wanted a horn button in the center of the wheel not on a stalk.
I decide to do this project when I read about Frontlines Abingdon Edition MGB, I could not afford one of those but by modifying a rust free late MGB I can get close.
Still needs fine tuned but if I had to describe my car in three words they would be fast, comfortable, and fun.
I hope to post pics and remarks on the website detailing my 4 year project. Cheers!
