Purchased in November 2022, the restoration work has been completed in October 2025. The complete chassis number is B39/6 177083. The restoration involved the complete replacement of the bottom sheet metal, the firewall, the rear wheel arches, the rear fenders, the bottom of the trunk, the rear outer sheet metal of the trunk and the underlying bundles, and various complementary sheet metal components. All mechanical parts were replaced or overhauled and the engine was completely rebuilt. The interior was completely replaced and the seats completely rebuilt and finished with new upholstery. The electrical system was completely replaced as the original had been eaten away in several places by mice. The fuel and braking systems were also completely replaced.
For the body restoration, I was assisted by my friend Giulio Piazzani. I rebuilt the entire mechanical system, the electrical system and its components, the interior, and the complete reassembly. The work was carried out in the same garage where I rebuilt the MGB.
