Vintage Race Car that raced in British Columbia, Canada with the Vintage Racing Club of British Columbia between October 2008 and June 2011. It has a Log Book for that racing club. It then moved to Ontario Canada and was raced in Ontario (Mosport, Shannonville, Calabogie), Quebec (Le Circuit Mont Tremblant), Michigan (Waterford Hills), and New York (Watkins Glen). It has a log book for VARAC, the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada.

I purchased it at the end of November this year(2018) and plan to continue using it not just as a vintage race car but also for track days.

Its history prior to being a race car in BC I have yet to find out.

It is a real beauty with all the right bits and pieces. The engine is raced prepped by one of the best, John Dodd of Bethany Ontario, with gas flowed head, cam, steel main caps, ARP throughout, Carillo rods, J&E pistons, sump baffle, Weber, etc, etc. The gearbox is close ratio and the diff limited slip. The suspension has all the right track bits. And, of course it has the full compliment of safety equipment i.e. fire system, fuel cell, cage, seat, steering quick release, cut off switch, rain light, etc.

I took a Formula 2000 racing course back in the '80s and have been doing lapping on and off for years so racing for real will be a new challenge for an old(vintage) guy. I owned an MGB back in the late sixties when I was in university so getting reacquainted with the marque all these years later and in a track environment should be a real adventure. I know zero about the cars so have taken a giant plunge with both feet as they say.

Hello Bruce,No, I sold the car a couple of years ago. The plan was to vintage race it but I waited a little too long in life and health issues intervened. I also have a BMW E30 race car that I use for track days so having the B and not racing it didn't make sense. I did have it up to Calabogie but had a shift issue which was a challenge to diagnose but in the end was all down to a couple of millimeters of clutch lever travel. I miss the B and foolishly think about buying it back just for track days but it needs high octane fuel so very expensive option for track days. The E30 takes 91 so a day at the track doesn't cost hundreds in fuel. Cheers, Greg.
