“Capo”
Picked this car up around 1989 while stationed with the US Army in Livorno, Italy. I purchased it from another American, so it is a Gt6+, not a MKII. I drove it around for 2 years in the Italian countryside, almost repair free except for a few minor issues. Once I broke all the leaf spring studs, but I think that was due to DPO error.(she got a bit squirrely on me when that happened)

I then drove it for another 6 months after returning to the US, and in 1993, I promptly dismantled it and almost left it to die.

I purchased a home in 2010 (with my first garage) and nursed it back to health with a “new” wiring harness, all new hydraulics. Amazingly the car started after a few turns without any fuel system repairs or ignition tuneup. I did change the oil and ran it off a gas can. I am at the point where it is a driver... looks good from a distance, up close there are a lot of imperfections.
