The problem with starting was the ignition. I had the original rebuilt and it runs fine.

The only history I have is that it was an Arizona car. I originally had it gone over by a mechanic in Branson West. It was then owned by a local man and he put it up for sale at the Branson Car Auction where I bought it. The Auction is a high level auction held twice a year. With the auction commission I paid just about 12K for the car. It was in excellent shape body wise but several maintenance items had not been addressed eg muffler, tail pipes, slave brake cylinder, brake lines, electric switch for overdrive, under dash shelf, windshield wiper motor. I also had the ignition rebuilt, bought new tires and had the car repainted. The overdrive is a neat feature on this little car. It functions in 3rd and 4th gear. The oversized black steering wheel was too plain for me and too large. I replaced it with a very nice wooden accent steering wheel. The prior owner had purchased a brand new soft top that is very nice. The windshield wiper motor was a challenge. You can't guy a new motor (at least I couldn't find on
