“The Woody!”
The Woody is a wonderful friend of mine! We have been driving together since 1983...Quite a nice long friendship! I feel badly, though, as the Woody has been languishing in a friend's hangar in Livermore since I moved from Carmel to a boat in San Diego in 2019. I'll get it back here to Virginia this Summer of '25, as it will be REALLY nice to drive the Woody around here...The Blue Ridge road beckons for picnic runs!
The Woody runs, but will get a complete go-through. All new rubber parts everywhere, new brakes and ignition stuff — all the usual jazz. It hasn't had new parts or tires for over 25 years! But Beetles are easy, so it'll be a fun few weeks of fixing it back up, then hit the roads!
