Registry: 1964 MG 1100

1964 MK1 MG 1100 Sport Sedan 2 door. 4 speed, front wheel drive. I originally bought this car from the estate of the original owner back in the early 2000's then sold it in 2006. After a handful of interim owners, I bought it back in January 2020 after a short 14 year hiatus. On its return I realized it needed a full restoration. Currently (8/26/2025) the car has just completed a full restoration including a complete tear down, full repaint and mechanical rebuild, including suspension, engine, clutch, electrical, interior, and everything you could think of! I also replaced the peeling dash with an amazing burl walnut dash. The car had some interesting items when new including dealer installed A/C. While the AC is not currently working (the evaporator console is still in place, but it is missing the compressor and other under bonnet items).I plan on putting AC into the car as soon as possible. Other extras included an original positive ground period radio, an optional ANSA Sports exhaust system, and a dealer installed optional wood “sports” steering wheel. I have also acquired a rare BMC Dealer Sales Promotional fiberglass bonnet with Plexiglass center to show off the "All New" transverse mounted engine and front wheel drive! And at 60+ years old, the car still has less than 25k miles on it! I am amazed at just how much fun this car is to drive and at the positive attention it gets! Makes the cost of restoration worth every dime!
