Wow, I almost NEVER see a car featured in the "YOUR CARS" side-bar for someone I know! What's the current status (the 2 pictures posted look promising)?

So, being an amateur doing it all myself, I have been fighting the paint process. Got it painted single stage acrylic enamel (old school) in Oct/Nov but had lots of nibs so have been cutting and polishing. As expected, I cut thru in a few places so re-shot and re-cut and re-polish - repeat, repeat, repeat. Hope to be done soon. Interior should be here in a month or two. Hope to be driving it this summer (started project in earnest in 2013).

Looks like a first class job from here Dave.I always wanted to do a first class restoration but it wasn't meant to be for me.How long has this been "Under Construction" ?Regards,Peter Carbone

Interestingly, after seeing YOU featured in the "YOUR CARS" I saw another person I know! Tim Davis' 1960 BN7L/6669!Two (2) owners prior to Tim, I got the engine, front disc brakes and rear shroud from that car (all parts were already "loose" with the car relegated as a parts car).I'm convinced that the AHExperience has altered the algorithms for what "we see" based on "who we know"Well Dave, when I reached the paint & finish bodywork portion on mine, I had to swallow hard and hire Paul Tsikuris to handle that part!

Peter - Thanks for the kind words, not too sure it will come out "first class" (looks better in pictures than in real life) but it's the best I can do. Randy - Believe me, if I ever do this again, I will definitely farm out the paint. Even though it goes against my own history of doing everything myself.
