TR3 was a nice street car converted to vintage racing in 1991 by Abacus Racing and did 28 races until 1997, when the engine and gearbox were removed to use in a TR4. The car sat in a heated garage until I purchased it about 2 years ago. I intended to convert it back to a street car, but found a really original small mouth 56 TR3 and now the car is in excess. i purchased a bunch of suspension parts to restore the original height to the front, and have some instruments as well. (modern Tach was added but can be removed easily) It has top bows and a windscreen. No side curtains. It has no rust. Has 5 good racing wheels and old racing tires. I have a 4 speed gearbox.no O/D and stock rear end.
I have a racing engine with all the machine work done with top quality parts that needs assembly (Abacus said they would do it for ($1-1.5K).. There is $7K into the engine, which I will sell separately for $5K. I can send you the list of parts.
I also have a sandblasted and nicely painted frame.
I am asking $4500 for the car, $1K for the frame, and $5K for the engine. $10K for everything.
I'd make it race ready again but I have an Elva, a Morgan, and a Turner.
