Build history ,built 13.Jan 1960, shipped to Hambro Trading Inc, Seattle, Washington USA 29.Jan 1960.Any information will be welcome.
Now red,with black and red trim. Black hood, Being fitted with, period new parts,specialist rebuilt engine, purchased on E-Bay Philadelphia USA and returned to UK 2017.Being rebuilt with all new parts +period gearbox side shift, supplied by specialist engineers.
Need some history in USA if possible. Owners. and any competition history. Came back to UK in nineties ?. Converted to Right hand drive and fitted with a Rover SDI 3.5 V eight, twin SU engine and gearbox.
This V8 is coming out and the cars running gear will be restored back to as built. Fully restored as to original.
When shipped in 29 JAN 1960 car was Healey blue, trim Blue, Hood (top)blue.
Any leads to history in the USA will be appreciated. When reimported. Even where is original engine gearbox is, look in the back of your sheds and garages. Plan to keep it and pass it to the next generation, We are all car crazy. We have a 1954 Chevy 3100, a 1965 Mustang, Two Mercedes SL'S one 1986, one,1990 one SLK owned by one of the Spice girls 1998. So lots of car interest here in the UK.
My favorite of course is the Healey. I owned a 1965 BN8 in the late sixties which came from the Healey family. loved it but Sold it in 1971 replaced it with two children. Best wishes from England to all in this club.
