I purchased the car from owner in NY in June 2018.
Owner stated Car was rebuilt in 2012 by the previous owner in South Carolina.
Reported by NY owner, recent improvements included
Rebuilt 1500 engine
Rebuilt 4 so tranny shifts smooth
Oil cooler added
Brakes rebuilt New pads shoes cylinders hoses and dual master slave cylinder
Converted to single 12v
Alternator conversion. Original generator and oil cooler come with car
Dual su carbs replaced with single weber carb (original su carbs came with car).
Ice blue exterior with black vinyl seats and carpet were replaced to original factory specs.
My frame on restoration includes:
New Custom built convertible top
New Red custom tonneau cover
New custom red interior- red German carpet, Italian red leather seats and vinyl door panels
Clean chrome trim pieces throughout
Stripped to metal, new black (Mercedes0000) paint by Anthony's Paint and Body in LA, bringing back to factory original spec including spoke wheels. Added the white wall tires which complete the look.
Car now runs smooth, mechanically solid, body solid. Great looking, too!
Babe won 1st in Class and BEST IN SHOW at the 2019 Boots and Bonnets SCMGClub event at the Driving Museum in Elsegundo, CA
