This is the "Before" picture. This is how the bike was when I found it.

“Tempus”
In the fashion of motorbikes from the early 'teens, I built Tempus to resemble an antique from the beginning. The frame is from a 1948 JC Higgins that failed to sell in a yard sale down the street and was placed at the curb, and rescued by yours truly. The engine is a little 49 cc bicycle motor. The tank, brass-&-walnut choke lever, leather mudguard, headlamp tank, and headlamp itself are custom fabrications, tail lights and trunk and other oddments are purchases.
Having port-matched the jug and pipe, slightly milled the head, re-jetted the carb, and other things I can't think of off the top of my head, I've managed to get her humming along rather briskly.
