At this posting I am a 48 year old tool and die maker living in Wichita Kansas. My wife of 16 years is Nancy and we have no kids, just a dog named Gus. I have built and raced a few a few things in my life including jet skis lawn mowers, go karts and cars. My latest build is a custom tandem tricycle and the restoration of my high school car (1969 Camaro).

Working End Of The Chicken Pedal

My bracket with caliper mounted

Had some free time today to spend at Menards hunting down some hardware. Got a nice selection of nuts and bolts and took some time to drill holes in my brake mount and do a test fit. The bracket is .093 thick, I made a pattern out of construction paper with proper bends then layed it out flat on and transferred this to the metal. With the help of a vice and hammer I made my 90 degree bends. Looks good for a first fit.

Kansas Kart Build

Starting this journal a little bit into this built but not far from the start. Did some more welding on the frame and started work on the pan with seat back and grill support. I left the grill support and seat back higher than necessary so I can cut them down once I decide on proper scale. Was a good weekend to do some woodwork, cold and rainy outside.
