New 'Momo' Steering Wheel
Posted on: Monday February 2, 2026
I wanted to change up the look of the car a little and decided to go for a wood style steering wheel. Temu who can be a little iffy for quality, had the exact wheel I was looking for for a fraction of the price at $82.34 C. I thought it was worth the try and was surprised at how good it was when it showed up. I already had a black and leather Momo wheel fitted so thought it should be a direct swap, but forgot I hand made the last boss. So I temporarily used the old boss and with the old red...
LED Warning Lights
Posted on: Thursday January 29, 2026
When I made up my custom dash panel a few years ago I had used coloured LED warning lamps for ignition, brake warning, engine warning, and computer fault light. The problem at the time that I was not aware of, was that current leakage can make the LED lamps still illuminate.Thereby making the warning almost permanent and irrelevant. Exhaust Pipe Isolation
Posted on: Tuesday December 10, 2024
Previously with the exhaust pipe run to get maximum ground clearance I bolted the exhaust brackets directly to the floor pan. This was far from ideal with the noise and vibration transmitted into the cabin. So today I was sandwiching some rubber bushings to the mounting points to hopefully try and mitigate some of the previous sound and vibration. I guess it will be springtime now before I will know how sucessful this addition was.
