On 11/4/10 I delivered my 1973 Damask Red MGB tp Todd Sano for a new coat of paint. Prior to delivery I stripped all chrome, windshield, headlights, taillights, windows, door panels and everything else off the car that I didn't want to get paint on. A lot of work but I had the help of my Son, Douglas and friend Mark Fisher to do most of it. Todd will make all body repairs prior to painting. Color will be a TARTAN RED. Hope it comes out the way I want it to.
My son Douglas and a friend Mark Fisher did most of the work and I did most of the watching and fetching. All this was done in Mark's garage. Mark is a former mechanic and has a tool for just about everything so I took advantage of his generous help. Driving home afterward without a windshield was quite an experience with the wind square in my face. It was night and I was only able to drive about 15 miles per hour. I took back streets as much as I could.

The car has been recently painted Tartan Red. I have also installed a rebuilt LH Overdrive unit. I have driven this car quite a bit and aside from a radiator failure at the peak of Mt Lassen, it hasn't given me any problems. There are little niggly things that represents the MG Experience, but this is a good solid car that will give someone a lot of pleasure.
