Well, I've never done a journal before, but what the heck!

I bought a 1970 Spitfire MkIII in 1971, and I've had it ever since. It's actually in great shape and never been wrecked or rusted in any way whatsoever. "Restoring" it has really never meant more than minor engine work, suspension work, routine repairs to brakes, electricals, etc. Plus a professional paint job.

So a few years ago I acquired two farm-field hulks to "back up" my Spit....another '70 spit and a '70 GT6+. They each included a complete tub, frame, suspension, engine, tranny and drive train. Both lack many interior components. Rust is rampant beyond comprehension, however.

In the back of my mind was the idea of making one Spit 6 or maybe one Spit hardtop out of all the components....
