Finished the door jamb and also wrapped foam padding around the rollbar.

Driver Side Door

Finished the A-post door jamb on the driver side. Decided holding off with the sill until the rocker panel is in place. I will also be painting the roll cage and wrap with foam again.

Door Hinges Restored

Hinges had a little rust but also a lot of corrosion preventative wax all over. Soaked them over night in a degreaser solution, cleaned them up more, primed and then sprayed in chassis black paint. Also have brand new screws ready to go.

Inside The Front Left Fender

The joint surface between the front left wing and body turned out being very rusty. To no surprise. A perfect candidate for a POR-15 application. The fender is actually going to be replaced by a brand new unit while the passenger side only gets a rust treatment. I will also treat the inside of the front left fender with POR-15 taking advantage of its great wear resistance properties.

Door Finished On The Inside

All done.
You can also see the new minimalistic mechanism for opening the door from the inside. No more having to reach to the outside to actuate the door opener.

Driver Door Prepped And Ready For POR-15

I will finish the inside of the door with 2 coats of POR-15 (grey) and possibly another coat of paint depending on how the finish turns out.
I spent many hours getting the door prepped to this point. The passenger side will go a little faster I am sure but it will also require a lot of elbow grease.
