In reply to # 49 by Coy Road Atlanta is 20 minutes from my house and i try to run every Vintage Event there. That being said I enjoy the Mitty and Fall Historics with HSR, Road Atlanta with VDCA and the Speed tour with SVRA . I can run 4 times a year at Road Atlanta and not break the Bank traveling smiling smiley As far as large grids are concerned , I warm the car up before getting to the grid. Then fire it up when my row starts to leave. No fans on my V8 and Not much cooling at idle in my air cooled racer. This is a pic with me and SVRAs group 3 talk about scary

Hey Cory, coming from Cummings, Georgia do you know my SCCA racing friends from Cumming, Paige Monette and the whole Monette racing family? How many people do you know like racer, Bob Monette who had 3 kids of their own and then adopted 27 more? I made some great friends at Road Atlanta racing with NASA. Ralph Bush

I know this is an older post but I wanted to comment. I was an early member with HSR and raced with them for almost 20 years. My last race with them was the fall 2010 race at Road Atlanta. The enduro race had almost 80 cars and about half were Porsches of some stripe. I had started racing with VDCA that year and found the organization to be a big improvement over HSR and SVRA. VDCA is an all volunteer organization run by racers and not for profit. Come and join us at the Wild Hare in April at VIR.
